Mr Chen emails ASA Members to explain why he voted against their wishes

Mr Chen has sent an email to the ASA membership explaining why he voted against their wishes when he voted against both the first and second resolutions at the CSA SGM.

The third resolution passed with an amendment that will see all Provincial Presidents removed from the CSA BoD by 2015.  The first and second resolutions would have been implemented immediately.

Mr Chen seems to see it as a positive that the CSA undergo a slow evolution. I think he has entirely missed the point; both the ASA membership and the remainder of the CSA membership see the need for change now. Mr Chen is doing the ASA membership a huge disservice if he thinks that the membership did not take this into consideration.

The fact is on Saturday, unelected ASA Directors decided they know better what best serves the country and the members they are to represent. The arrogance of this move is staggering.

In his email Mr Chen shows his ignorance, or an uncanny ability to change his moral compass, of Roberts Rules of Order that he so righteously brandished at the ASA SGM. The votes of abstaining members DO NOT COUNT AS A "NO" VOTE!!!!  100% of the voting active and associate members supported the first resolution at the CSA SGM.

Mr Chen, at the ASA SGM I was embarrased for you while you made a fool of yourself in front of the membership, today you have embarrassed us all.
